Pretty poor to be honest, I`ve got the flat glass one`s but they are adjustable, the problem is they don`t adjust enough so they are far too low and look at the floor too much.

You could try the convex one`s and see if they are any better, make sure you get the fitting adapter kit so you don`t have to drill the doors like I did. Then if they are no good you can always put some standard one`s on.

I`ve been getting as much as I can done as she is now insured and the MOT is booked =]

Only a few jobs to sort out but the crabs are being a pain by spitting fuel back of the float chamber, we think its because they are HS2`s and the engine is from a metro so that would of run on a HIF, according the haynes manuals we have the metro says a fuel delivery pressure of 6psi and the mini one says 3psi. Change of lift pump could be in order >_< can it be done in situ??

Anyway I`ve got one door finished now and the glass in the other, will finish the other one tomorrow

Once we have the carbs sorted its air filters and bonnet and done.... for now anyway.

Exciting times Dave, when's the MOT booked for then? Also who have you got your insurance through and how much if you don't mind me asking?

The door cards look lovely.

Cheers mate, mot is booked for Saturday, hope it's ready in time. Insurance was with Footman James for £200, Adrian flux was over £700, crazy. Can't quite believe its nearly ready.

Looking good Dave, looks like you're going to beat me to it and gets yours on the road first! I'm pretty sure I've changed a fuel pump on my old mini without too much trouble. In fact I should have a Mini mechanical fuel pump if you need it (I replaced it with an electric one on mine)

Cheers Ben, got it sorted today, was a pain but got there in the end. Luckily I bought some new needle valves and they have seemed to have stopped it leaking. Few more bits and bobs to sort tomorrow then it's ready.

How are you getting on with yours? Looked good from what I saw on Facebook.

Good stuff mate, hope you get it sorted soon.

Well I`ve had a mad day. It passed the MOT :D but then the fuel leak started again, just out of the one float chamber >_< It turned out that it was coming from a pin hole in the brass pipe thing that the pipe goes over. Luckily I had a spare so put that one and it stopped it for about 10 mins, took it off and cleaned it all and found a small piece of rubber that was stopping the needle valve from closing fully, I think its come from the small joining fuel pipes. Fingers crossed its now sorted and it doesnt happen again.

Going to tax it on monday then go and get all the geometery set up properly and give it a good run and then just adjust the mixture to get it running spot on. Once the engines run in a bit I`ll get it done properly on a rolling road.

The mini is now taxed and road legal, just been round the block and it drives really well I`m impressed. Going to get the passenger door to lock now and then take it to get all the alignment sorted.

Happy days :D

It`s still not finished buy a long shot but atleast I can drive it.

Cheers

Dave
