I'm really happy mate, at the place getting the wheels balanced as the weights from Huddersfield spares were falling off, was great driving it but needs a good tune, gutless in 4th.

I'm going to recover the back seats, fit a walnut dash and just get it exactly how I want it.

Just been out for a run and the mini is running well, its so much fun driving it. I took the fuel sender unit out this morning as I thought it was faulty, checked it with a multimeter and it seemed fine so I have put £20 of fuel in and its gone up to half so it was working and the tank was just empty. Hopefully the weather will hold and I am going for a run this afternoon so I`ll try and get some pictures up.

Cheers

Dave

Took some photos while out and about today

Look how small it is!! I still can`t get over how small they are, parked next to the girlfriends yaris and even that looked massive.

Noticed today that brake pedal sometimes does not return fully, I`ve put WD40 on the linkages but they are nylon pins (can`t remember the correct name atm) but it still does it sometimes. Anyone have any ideas??

Cheers

I bet your loving life at the moment. Really well done.
I have been bleeding my breaks today and this happened to me, Just get some decent oil on all the joints and springs ( Inside and out ) that did it for me.

Thank you Rhys, that must of taken a bit of time.

No power figures as yet, I`m going to keep running it in and tweaking with it myself and then get it on a rolling road once I`ve got at least 500 miles on it.

I`ve been getting a couple of orders through and I`m still waiting on two major one`s to finish the car off (I hope), here is what has arrived so far:

Posted Image

Rear seat belts (it has no rear seats in atm as I`m getting covers for them), a set of Mintex brake pads and two smiths gauges.

Posted Image

I have a voltmeter coming.

While the weather was nice this morning I went out for a little drive and took a couple of photos, hope you like them.

I had another delivery of parts the other day including new dash rail covers, rear seat covers, oh and this :D

Today I hit a problem though, I thought I`d change the front brake pads and found the reason why the pedal would not return all the way sometimes (I thought it was the linkages), turns out the pistons in the off side calliper were sticking >_< straight onto minispares and four new ones with the seal kits ordered. Managed to get the pistons out and will hopefully get it all done by the weekend if the new one`s turn up quickly.

I took it to a friends garage and he pushed one out through the banjo bolt hole and the other one using air pressure, I stood back as brake fluid went everywhere when it popped out.

New pistons and seals should be here tomorrow so I`ll crack on with getting them sorted.

Brakes are finally sorted :D replaced the pistons and seals in the calipers, rebled the system and still the pedal wouldn't return fully but only when the engine was running, this led me to the servo as the revs altered when I stood on the pedal due to the vacuum. Bolted a new servo on after buying a kit for my old one and breaking it >_< wish these things came with instructions. Anyway I have decent brakes now as I've put new mintex pads in as well.

Took her out up the girlfriends tonight and it was great on the way but then when I started it to come home it was misfiring and the revs just wanted to drop even with the choke out, it stalled and then would not start again for ages, sounded like it wasn't getting a spark. She fired in the end and then was fine again, drove lovely

Hopefully I`ll get the new dash in soon and get some miles on it.

Cheers

Dave

Added the boot badges today, I know the script badges were only on earlier cars but I really like them, had to have the welsh flag on it :D
