Nice bit of welding. Looks like a huge job and good to see another mini saved from the tin worm.

A bit of progress today as I am now off work now until tuesday >_<

Got the nut for the seat belt off the old inner sill and welded it to a plate and then welded the plate the the new inner sill. I managed to weld the inner sill piece in, seam welded the inside and ground the welds down a bit. I`ll finish it off tomorrow

Some ebay purchases this week, set of wiper and indicator stalks and a gear knob

Aiming to finish the inner sill off tomorrow and then its wheel arch and rear quarter panel.

I have now welded the new wheel arch in, it was given to me by a friend of my dads who had it lying around from years ago, thats why i rubbed the surface rust off it and I have now repainted:

I have also put a patch underneath:

looking good mate, i have to replace the quarters and the inner arches on mine, did you test fit everything before you welded the arch and the filler plate in?

Thanks

Yeah I got the arch pretty much where it wanted to be then clamped it along the bottom flange and clamped the filler plate. Once I was happy with them two I tried the quarter panel on top, that seem to fit pretty well too.

Another thing is I measured the top of the suspension turret to the parcel shelf and from the top of the turret to the boot floor, checked these with the other wheel arch to make sure they were both the same.
