Type the model number of the one you want into google and find some reviews of it.
This is less of a problem if its only ever used in the car, but the battery life on the cheap ones is laughable. My sister was very chuffed when she got a cheap one to keep her spawn entertained, but the 20 minute battery life rendered it useless anywhere away from a plug / ciggy lighter.

EDIT - this assumes you are talking about the portable things and not an in-dash type?

what sort do u want the one that goes in dash or the one with the fold out screen or the one in the sun visor

let me know because i can get them cheaper than any shops lol
