I rescently bought a mini to use for parts. It's got some pretty terminal rust underneath, so I'm chopping it up. I'm not just going to scrap it, some bits are being passed on to other people to fix there cars. ;)

This is how it looked once I'd taken the flip front and front subby off.

When I took the A panel off, a few other bits fell off too

The skuttle has gone of to wakefield to repair somebody's car, leaving a small hole...

All being well, I'll be fitting the roof to my black clubby

I'm going to chop out the parcel shelf and some other bits for the clubbys, then the shell will be chopped into more manageable bits and taken of to be made into bean cans. I'll add some more pics as it comes to pieces.

What do you think? Does anybody need anything?

Seems a shame to chop up a Mini but suppose you could make a trailer out of the back end?

EDIT: Where abouts in South Yorkshire are you?

I'm at Rotherham, about a mile from meadowhell. It's pretty rotten underneath and round the back. If it was worth saving I wouldn't have chopped it up.

After anything in particular?

I can't afford to spend anymore money ;). I was just saying if you fancied another project you could make a trailer from the back end

The trailer is a good idea, but this car is project number 3 at the moment and I'm really neglecting number 1 & 2. Also need rid of the red one so that I can get the black one in the garage...

Looks can be deceptive. There where no floors in either of the rear pockets. No sills (inner or outer or steps). no floor under the cross member. the lip for the rear bumper just flaked of. rear corners of the floor by the heel boards wheren't there. both rear quaters where missing 2" from the bottom. Both A posts fell off.... etc not worth saving.

Well on my current project i'm repair all of what yo've said and a complete front end, scuttle, a panels, doors etc, whitch is why i said it looked solid.

And the current rot spot i'm working on is this mess of a rear arch. :geek:
