yea the above people are the best and cheapest i have found, but they will need to be put in two packarges (2 wheels in each parcel), so 2 courier services...

I posted a set of 12x5 wheels with tyres for £22 i think it was.

2x parcel of 2 wheels. cardboard between, black sacked and cardboard wrapped.

i used interparcel and choose the option which was best for me. No problems using them at all.

Im manager of a courier company, and some companies will not take them unless packaged properly (we wont), I would tell you who I work for but it will not be the cheapest option. So not much point, and unfortunately prices are not dictated by me otherwise i would give TMF a discount.

All i say is, you will get a price for 45kg, but if you send as 2 parcels, i.e 2 consignments not 1 you will get away with a parcel rate instead of a freight weight. Freight is often considered to be over 35kg.

Packing,

Either use a box for each, or cardboard top and bottom, which is held properly with tape, even if the tape goes over the type, cover it.

Minispares use us, they package there's with cardboard on top and bottom. Works well.

Distance,

Most courier companies do not change the price according to distance, unless booked on a same day service. However, even if you use a next day services some areas in Scotland will take 2 days. Do not let them fob you off by saying it is extra because it is going to Scotland. Your cheapest option will be to take a 2-3 day service.

Another thing, make sure you leave strict instructions of..... 'do not leave safe, pod or card only' this way you will insure that the driver does not just dump them on your doopstep if your not in. They do, do it - then they forge the signature.

although not us, and i would get shot if my boss saw this, but www.parceltogo.com will more than likely be your best bet.

Companies i would say not to go for, of which mine is in the list, we offer fantastic rates to companies which ship alot of on a regular basis, cash customers/one off's is expensive, as it will be for these. I have worked at 3 of them.

City Link
Interlink
APC
UPS
Parceline
DPD

there will be more, but that saves you calling in the first place.

Hope this helps, any questions feel free to PM me.

Interlink are very good and reliable, maynot be the cheapest, but there a good company.

I would quote you, but I'm a dedicated courier company and would charge you £100's and £100's lol

I have heard some good things about Parcels2go so it might be worth giving them a try
