i managed to get the 12" vibe enclosure in the back of one of my other minis and that was fine.
The size of the sub really depends on what sort of music you listen to and what you want from it.

really nice head unit, they do the job nicly
not too sure about JBL sh!t though, not my cup of tea
12" fits in nice too, i originally got a 12" box from halfords which was massive for my liking (saggy bass  ) but it fitted alright.
but i made a nice tight one can still get the picnik bag in the boot lovely jubbly(s)!

id say get the headunit and leave the sub amp deal. save your pennies for something which performs better.
goto www.talkaudio.co.uk and they'll be able to advise you on the best equipment for what you want and at your budget

I got a 12" Mutant sub and appropriate amp from Halfords for £90! Mutant have been very highly rated in all of the Max Power, Revs, Redline, Fast Car type mags and I've been very impressed with the performance, especially as it only cost 90 quid!

but then in maxpower, fastcar and the likes they think that a k&n filter gives you 9bhp extra....hum
i agree with rob, id save and buy some higher quality parts. Check out your local halfords atm as all the new stock is coming through and the obsolete stock will b sold cheeply. Id also have a look at www.caraudiodirect.com and ask on thier forums too

halfords have a massive discount going on with our old display stock, get your backsides down there and grab a bargain, and im not joking either, theres somethin like £70 off most stuff above £200
i dont rate mutant at all im afraid...and i sell it
JBL are good...but not great
i'd save your pennies and go visit bostonacoustics, or the daddy.... JL

If you're guna do it, then do it well. Go for Rockford Fosgate Punch 12" Sub 200W RMS and power that off a monoblock or bridged amp. Then get a four channel amp to power some front components and 6*9 (7*10 if you wana b bold) and dont hide the sub in the boot. Put it on the back seats where it can be heard.
