
What Is A "red Block" Engine

Just seen a metro "red block" motor for sale - what does this mean - just that it's painted red?,or a certain spec?

means it's painted red.
usually denotes a 1275 (if it's the factory applied paint,... but with everyone painting stuff red these days, you really need an engine number to identify it's true origin.

i dont bother putting modified heads on my engines any more, i just paint them red, much cheaper
