Iv built one hen's the name subk2002, took me a year and a lot of work .
I recomend an MK Indy and stick a bike engine in it,took me 3 mounth to build, cheeper than a z cars mini to :grin:

Don't go cheap Caterham lookalikes the are total rubbish (in my opinion) .
Having driven ( and owned) some fairly exotic machinery over the years I'm going for the Z cars factor as it gives almost top of the range type Caterham performance with the Q-car appearance of just another fast good-looking clasic Mini

I think it depends what you want to do with it. If its going to be a serious track weapon then it would probably have to be a caterwesthoodcost (take your pick)
But if its a fast road occasional track car that will suprise a lot of unsuspecting drivers then the mini wins hands down!! :grin:

well i think the kit car is tempting me more, im put off the z cars affter watch some dvds and the front end seems skitish, always liffing wheels, mite be fun but doesn't make a quick track car or a stable road car. and im wanting something to do track days in.
