As per title really, anyone been lucky enough to own their dream car (how many of you will say "yes, a Mini!")?

Was it everything you hoped it would be, or did you end up bitterly disappointed?

Yup, not a fancy anything though, call me sad but ever since i was about 8 i wanted an old series landrover like my grandads, got it now and will be kept. As i got older i wanted a mini, got that (had loads now ha ha as you do) and then a kit car so i now have a scamp too (best of both worlds kit and mini in one) my dream cars change all the time, got no interest in anything new or modern or supercars whatsoever, spend all day working round them so no interest at all. the bike was a previous dream and love that too (unless it's snowing, another story...)

I always wanted a 106 GTi, which i bought when i was 22 and loved it! All i wanted from it and more. looked the dogs without being chavvy.

Then the now-wife made me trade it because she didn't liek driving it.

Not a super-car or anything but i'd wanted one from the day Pug released it.

My MGB, 1965-68, sky blue, wire wheels, a proper one before they ruined it for the US. Top down and The Beatles on the Motorola radio. It cost just over £1k incl hire purchase. There was a waiting list of six months but I got lucky when a vicar cancelled his order. I'd already had two minis and just wanted a change. The B was great fun. After that I got a 1275 S on hydrolastic and it was AWFUL.

I had a 106 GTi when I was 21 :dontgetit: (it didn't like trees very much though  :geek: ) I'd love another one please :( I'd wanted one since I was 17 so I was chuffed to get one

I'd also wanted a mini since well pretty much always so to have owned 2 is lovely :)

Proper dream cars are stuff like TVRs and Aston Martins and I've driven a DB7  but I doubt I'll ever get to own one.

I'm lusting after another 106 GTi now or maybe a rallye :P
