Hello everyone

I have a extremely unreliable 1275 SPI Mayfair which i am planning to take off the road very soon to do an engine swap! I am going to put a 1275 carb engine, im going to strip it and change all gaskets and just get it mint before putting it in!

My question is - What problems am i going to have with all my gauges, such as temp, oil level, oil pressure, speed and revs?

Do all of these currently go through the ecu? How will i make my current gauges work with the new engine?

Lastly what things should i do whilst the engine is out? Im not going to rush this so want to make sure that i have done everything sensible to the engine bay whilst the engine is out! Im on kind of a budget but can stretch to do things if there worth doing!

If anyone has done this before id really appreciate there advice.
