iv decided that this summer im gonna give it a full makeover.
im gonna sort out all the rust and re spray it.
i dont know much about rust so if anyone has any guides or anything that they know of that will help me i would be really gratefull. gonna be my first lot of bodywork so im gonna need all the help i can get.
now iv heard of people on here that have sprayed there cars with electric fence sprayers and others of that sort. luckyly my dad has just bought one and iv decided im gonna use it to spray my car. but what paint do i buy to put in it? and where do i get it from?

DON'T use a fence sprayer. It might just about be able to spray primer, but getting any sort of good finish from it will be very difficult.
you can buy electric HVLP guns from Earlex for about £60+... go and buy one of those... much more worthwhile and still cheap.
There is a 'how to spray your car' guide on here if you look at the top of the Section. And there are tonnes of 'how to sort rust out' posts and threads on here that the search function will show up for you.
The only cure for rust is to cut it out and weld new metal in. Light surface rust will be treatable with things like KURUST and wirebrushes etc,.. but ultimately,.. the metal is damaged and the rust will still be in it.

You would get a better finish if you just tipped the paint over the car.
