hey guys and girls. enjoying the summer!?

I've got some new Avonbar W&P's that need fitting. I've painted them and am gonna fit tomorrow.

the local garage quoted £50. is this worth it? i've got a rivet gun and some rivets so wondered how hard is to do yourself/qhat quality finish can you get?

the garage reckoned sometimes the arch have to be adjusted my fitting a bracket? this put me off! what is he on about?

any general advice etc?

cheers guys

T

Use the search, there will be loads of topics on this. You might find more information in Styling.

I would fit them myself if I were you.

brackets??? the guy is talking out of his arese. i have w and p replicas. i self tappered mine into place rather than poprovited. all i used to help was some masking tape to hold the arch in place while i tweaked it to exactly where i want it and then drilled it.

If using pop rivets watch out for the classic big scratch down your wing when the rivet 'lets go'
