Hi there guys and girls.

I’m trying to organise a fairly large scale charity event for Help for Heroes, and I was wondering if anyone would be up for a Land's End to John o'Groats Mini run?

Thought I’d put the idea out there just to see what people thought and get some idea of potential numbers. I’ll probably get shot down in flames but who knows - some of you might be up for it?

I was hoping to get somethig organised over the next few months really.

Yea I will be contacting various clubs to see if they have any members up for it, I just thought here would be a goof first port of call just to see a general reaction to the idea.

It will definatly be over a weekend. I'll probably take a couple of days off to get my car down south on a fairly gentle trip.

Excellent....well thats two cars....I'm on my way

Ok guys if you can start adding your names/cars to a list it would help me out a bit before it all gets confused.

http://www.facebook....gid=27106835803 I've also got this facebook group set up (not invivted anyone yet so don't be put off with me being the only member). If you want to add your names/cars/distance your want to travel to the "Car List" that would help.

Also I'll get the list on here. So...I'll start off

Seems to be a fairly easy route....perhaps not the most scenic but meh

OK then guys and girls we are looking at dates for late November although as are fairly flexible with them. We think thats enough time to get everything organised as people seem to be pretty interested.

I will be getting a detailed route up shortly.

I'm quite interested in this but the proposed route does bypass me some what, as I'm located slap bang between the M1 and A1 and just south of the A14. A couple of questions if I may?

1) How would we go about raising the sponsership money?
2) Any paticular charity in mind
3) How about having a second route which starts in the most south-eastern point (wherever that is) and both routes join up in the middle before continuing north together. Just a thought, but the route up the west coast does rule a lot of Minis on the easten side out (unless they're prepared to do a hell of a lot more driving, especially to the starting point).
4) How many days are you planning to do it over? I think the actual LEJOG Rally takes 3 days, but that is obviously on Rally roads.

Cheers!
