hey all...
I know you must be bored of this topic as I've read many topics about it. But I need help...It seems to me that all the companies worth going with are only for 19 years old +. i am looking to insure a Rover Mini Studio 2 (1litre) that is fairly standard. I will be adding a few mods but not loads (alloys, stage 1 tuning, and then a few cosmetics). My other mitigating cuircumstance is that i also drive an 05 corsa (not insured in my name so no ''no claims'') and so my mini will be for weekends and when its sunny etc. I would like to know who would be the best people to go with and what sort of price i should pay. I have clean lisence (only since febuary tho).Want own insurance (rather than named driver that could be done for bout £300) for no claims bank. Thanks for reading

Jamie

Hi Jamie, and welcme to TMF firstly.

I'm 22 - albeit a bit older, but with a soiled license, 0 NCB and a few points. I rang around and was getting silly quotes.

Give www.confused.com a whirl for a big block of quotes. In the end I decided to go with Liverpool & Victoria. £500 on my 86 Mayfair 1lite

one assumes under 19...

I put a thread up about this "Pay-as-you-Go" insurance from Norwich Union Clicky to BBC article a while ago and was astonished by the slating it got... Link to thread

For a responsible driver who's both trying to gain experience and a NCB I thought it would be ideal, your not on a limited mileage policy and if you drive outside of peak times, and not during the middle of the night, you may earn yourself that NCB at a much lesser cost..

But these are just humble words from an old gimmer who's been there done that got the points T shirt and scars to prove it..

Pooky... How modified is your car? And have you only been with them one year?If not what was your renewal quote? Cheers for help. Tesco or Sainsruries look like the people to be with.
