this is my new project that i got for my B/day (this is why i have a 21st every year, cause you get nice big presents for your 21st)

its a Hangar 9 showtime 90, and i'm fitting it with a MVVS 26cc petrol engine (not glow)

on sunday I got all the surfaces on and servos in.

today I managed to get the engine mounted and started cutting the cowl round it.

bigger they are the better they fly, our 72" cap flys superb just because of its size

took it to the flying club today for the first time, initially just to run the engine in on the ground but the weather was ideal for a maiden flight.

had 6 flights in all, i was a bit intimidated at first being bigger than i'm used to, plus the fact it's about £700 worth going up in the air. flew great and after the first couple of goes all nerves had gone.

thanks alex for the cheap model and servos

i fly at Banbury Model Flying Club, and also South Warwickshire Electric Flyers

IC models i have are Pluse XT 40, .46 glow and the Showtime 90 above with the 26cc petrol engine

i've also got the following electric models, a couple of shock flyers, Acromaster, Mini Showtime, Tutor 40 (converted to electric for my lad) and a couple of home made foamy things

no problems, glad it went well. Dont be affraid of flying it, its there to be enjoyed. You put the money into it to enjoy it, not look at it
