
Removing Door Glass

i have treid the search function but found nothing on this.... can any one tell me how to remove the door glass from the door??
also i cant get one of the door of cause of one dam bolt, its the very top one..any ideas? i have aready put loads of dw40 but it doesnt want to budge and teh spanner has already slipt a few times rounf the nut of a bit...
any help is much appreciated...

there's a very good bit in the Haynes manual about how to remove the door glass
dont have the hynes manual....

to get the glass out i think you are bet of removing the winder mechanism and easing that out of the runners of the glass - would adise having a helper to hold the glass.
after you have the winder mech out, dip the front of the glass down and pull it out of the top of the door back first.
not sure which nut you are refering to either, sorry.

firstly remove all window trims (inner & outer) and the inner rubber-window-guide thing (soory about description); then..
to get the glass out i think you are bet of removing the winder mechanism and easing that out of the runners of the glass - would adise having a helper to hold the glass.
after you have the winder mech out, dip the front of the glass down and pull it out of the top of the door back first.
not sure which nut you are refering to either, sorry.

hi thanks for teh help mate... will give it a go...
as fot the nut, im refering to one of the 4 nuts that hold the door on...the ones that is stuck is the one right at the top...

your best bet is to use a socket, and if it has started to round then beat a 10mm multi socket onto it as i think they a 7/16 originally.

Haynes manual explains it better, its hard to put it in writing but the haynes is roughly the same way I do it.

as regards to your door nut,you will probably find once you put a socket on it and if its that stuck it will more than likely snap off mine did
the door glass is out... it pretty simple actually... its jsut like you guys explained....

as for teh nut i didnt touch it today... will have a look at it tomorrow, but if it gives me to much of a hard time,i ll get midevil on it with the grinder...
