Just a quick meal idea that you can throw together in 10-15 minutes (depending on how quickly you can cook pasta).

Step 1: Get some pasta cooking, enough to serve however many people you're attempting to deef (feed, how I got "deef" I'll never know).
Step 2: While your pasta is cooking, get some frozen peas, stick them in a bowl with a small amount of water and bung them in the microwave until they're soft.
Step 3: Get some sliced ham out the fridge and either tear it up or lay a few slices on top of each other and dice.
Step 4: When your pasta is cooked, strain it and put it back in the pan you cooked it in.
Step 5: Grate as much cheese as you like on the pasta and mix it round in the pan.
Step 6: Add the diced ham and peas.
Step 7: Put on a low heat and mix up the contents of the pan and add more cheese.
Step 8: Serve as evenly as you can.
Step 9: Sprinkle some cheese on top (optional).
Step 10: Enjoy.

Here is my finished product, you'll notice there is lettuce underneath the pasta, I found out this wasn't as much of a good idea as I thought it would be, but at least it was a bit more healthy, haha.

I'm hoping that this will be of use to someone :D.

Thanks for reading.

Last night I found an even quicker meal idea....

1. Go to your mum and dads house after work after an hour and a half's drive with your mini full of clobber.

2. Dad feels sorry for you

3. Roast chicken dinner!!!!!!

4. With home made brownies and lasagne to take back with you.

Serweet!

Ohhh you could make that pasta when camping, cheap too = proper student meal!

I sniff a student hee hee - heard cheesy beans is supposed to be good ;) must say I dont like peas the sight of them is enough to make me feel sick - weird eh :w00t:

here is a wee cheat one for me lol

1. Cook pasta and while it is cooking......
2. Take whatever vegies you fancy (or in my case usually what I can find) - bung them in a pan and fry
3. Add sliced meat, meat left over from a joint or sum (this is optional) - bung in the pan too
4. Packet of pepper sauce (the powder stuff you add milk too :D) make up the sauce
5. now once everything is cooked bung it all together.

Easy - its quick cheep and the best thing is you can put whatever you want in it - my personal fave is tinned sweetcorn, mushrooms and streaky bacon mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Can't moan with the parents cooking :D

I'll fetch some pepper sauce if we don't have any and try your recepie CaraMiller. You should try mine without peas.

or my favorite quick one:

cook some pasta and drain it and put it back in the pot,
add a tin of tuna in oil
some grated cheese
some sweet chilli sauce
and some chopped salami if there is some in the fridge
stir it well to mix through and your done!

or another proper recipie

chop up some mushrooms and some onion, chuck them in a pan with some chopped meat, either beef or chicken

start cooking them and add some crushed garlic and soy sauce

when the meat is nearly done chuck in some baby spinach leaves and cook them through, serve on rice

Quickish one here from me...

Take 4 eggs & a bit of milk. Crack eggs into bowl, add milk and a pinch of salt and whisk until the lot's pale yellow.

Chop up a medium onion any old how and fry it in a large fryingpan until soft add a couple of crushed garlic cloves, a handful of sliced mushrooms (optional) and some italian seasoning.

Slice a tomato or two depending on size and grate a *load* of cheese.

Pour the eggs over the cooked onions/mushrooms in the pan, sprinkle in cheese and keep a bit back. Raise the heat to medium.

Ignore for 20 minutes.

Return, distribute tomatoes and rest of cheese over top of omlette and grill until golden brown.

Leave to cool slightly and enjoy in chunks :D Should last for 3 days in the fridge...you can also add cold cooked spuds to it too .

Here's one of my favourite quick, cheap dishes when I get in late from Uni:

Pour some boiling water over cous cous and cover for about 5 - 10 minutes (the amount of water depends on how you like your cous cous).
Fry up whatever you have lying around - usually mushrooms, baby corn, mange tout - bacon or gammon chopped into pieces also works well.
Fluff up the cous cous using a fork whilst pouring a bit vinegar on it.
Add all the stuff to the cous cous, stir around to mix it up, and serve.

Tasty, cheap, easy food done in 10 minutes! Bargain.

Yum, pasta is one of my favorites. Not really allowed it any more though. Used to eat it loads!

I wish I could cook at the moment. We are getting our kitchen done, we dont have anything to cook on, we dont even have a sink :). We've been upside down for 3 weeks, and this is the first week we've not had anything but a microwave!!

When the kitchen is done, im going to cook loads, Ive been watching loads of cooking progs and got several dishes I want to make. Im good at puddings ;)

hehe, i saw one of those little 5 min programs on richard and judy yesterday (dont ask my why i was watching). it was someone teaching hopeless students how to cook simple things before they went to uni. anyway this one boy one day decided 'i'd like some sausages'. all fair enough, but then he got his sausages, cut them in half and put them in the toaster :) now how the f**k did he get into uni? then he cooked a really simple stirfry for his family to prove he could now cook, and still completely messed it up! i thought university was for people with at least some intelligence and capable of at least some common sense! god help us!
