I've got a set of these fitted at the moment and i'm trying to work out if they're duff. when i try to adjust them the knob just turns with no clicking between the different settings and when i push down on them are they supposed to return??
apparently avo shocks are supposed to be rebuidable, does anyone know where i can get a rebuild kit from?

no....dampers arent spost to return when compressed!
have you undone the locking grub screw?

Quick check mate...
Wind the adjustment screw fully 1 way on your dampers, then go for a drive down a country road...
Then...
Wind the adjustment screw fully the opposite way on the dampers, then go for another drive and see what the car feels like.
If your dampers are anything like spax ones, you will notice straight away whether they are working or not.

ahh i've found the problem, they're isn't an adjustment screw just a tiny tiny allen key bolt which i couldn't see and this has to be undone first
and they aren't returning when they're compressed (off the car at the moment) so i guess all is good!
i think the bushes are in need of replacing tho so i'll get onto avo about some new ones...
