because, when i work up this morning my front wheel arch had fallen off or been nicked.

A complete new set is like 20-25 pounds, rather cheap

i have them and the only problem i have with with them is keeping them shiny because once it rains or frosts u get streaks on them

There's also a product called Tire Black that works great at turning faded rubber and plastic back to it's original color. Don't know if you have that in the UK though.You probarbly all know this already, but i tried 'Back to black' on my plastic arches, they almost look like new again. I think its basically a silicone type thing, but looks pretty good. You can buy it from halfords, but I dont know how much it costs as I scrounged it from my friend, hehe.
