What would I need to do in order to get the 15% discount for being a full member on the forum? I've never used Adrian Flux before - do many people on here use them? What are they like?

Cheers,
Kev

Cheers but I meant how do I get the discount? I understand that i'd need to become a full member first but I've just got a quote online and I never saw anywhere to put in a discount code or anything. Would I need to phone and tell them or what?

I believe you would have to get a quote over the phone and quote the TMF+ membership number.

Yea, you phone them up. All the instructions are set out in the TMF+ section that becomes visible when you sign up as a TMF+ member.

I phoned them today actually to get a provisional ball park figure of what it was gonna cost me to get Delilah back on the road.

Thing is the question they ask is 'Are you a memeber of any clubs or are you intending on joining any?'

I said yes i was that i was a member of a club, didnt actually mention the name TMF, let alone my membership number and she just gave me the 15% discount anyway!!!! :D

On the plus side with all my mods fully declared and agreed valuation of between £4000-5000, 5000 miles limit, the quote came out at

£230

Bargain and thats the first quote ive got im sure with a little hunting around I can get that below £200 ;)

You can get a discount with Adrian flux by being a member of any club. When I got my pug insured with them I just said I was a member of an owners club...and got the discount.

They do check that you are a member. Markrally was the first to receive his TMF+ membership card because he got his insurance about the same time as he signed up to TMF+. They asked him proof of membership and we had to rush his pack out to him.

Does it work if you are renewing your policy, or do you have to be a new customer to receive the discount from Flux?

You should be able to add it upon renewing your policy, best to ring and check.

I work for HIC but we are partnered with Adrian Flux so the same rules apply.

You Can get upto 15% discount for being a member of ANY club - this is because it shows you are an enthusiast and are therefore usually more likely to look after your vehicle.

If the club is affiliated with the Insurer and you say that you were recommended to the Insurer by that Club then The Insurer will pay the Club a commision for the policy, so always say where you were recommended from.

As a broker Ourselves and Adrian Flux do not need to see the club membership numbers HOWEVER some of the actual Insurers we use E.G Provident, Jubilee etc do ask to see it, most of the Insurers take it on good faith that you are a member but there are a few as named above that do need to see the proof, so it wont apply for all of you. (There will usually be a checklist on you rpolicy documents stating whether or not you need to send it in)

Hope this helps

Laura

I saved about £150 with Adrian Flux using the TMF+ discount. Very pleased with that.

You do need to be a member of a club to get the discount. you just dont have to prove it with all of the insurers, but you wont know whether or not your insurer needs the proof until the policy is set up so you cant lie
