I just thought I would share pics of a part I just sent out. It seems like I am always recommending the use of carbon kevlar but since many prefer straight carbon I thought this would be a nice touch. What do you think?

Very very nice

How many layers of each do you use to make the sking? is it 1 layer of carbon and 1 layer of carbon kevlar? or do you use more that that?

Thanks for the comment.
This one is full carbon, so outer 2x2 carbon, one layer of plain in center, then inner 2x2 carbon kevlar. The frame is just 2 layers of carbon except in latch area which has 4. Normally if it isn't ordered as full carbon it would have glass in between the carbon and glass in the frame.

Thanks for all the positive comments.
These parts are made in the US so it may not be practical to send them to the UK since I think you already have some good carbon fabricators. This part (full carbon) sells for $325.00 plus shipping. Let me know if you need any more details.
Thanks again,

Jim

Thats cheap ( its $2 to the pound at the mo ) do you know how much it will cost to get them shipped ?

your correct we do have some good fabricators over here but its very expensive because of the labour costs !!!

Thanks again for the comments. Boot lids, dash rail, and a few small items aren't bad for shipping because they can go parcel post. The last boot lid I sent overseas was only around $40.00. Larger part like bonnets need to go UPS or FedEx so the cost for shipping is much hight.

The parts are wet layup, most with epoxy, and vacuumed bagged. This boot lid weighed in at around 2 1/2 pounds (sorry I'm not good at the conversion).
