is there anyone out there who can help me with my radio/cassette. my battery went flat last week so i need to programme in the code to get it going again. it is a ford rds 5000 e-o-n. when you turn it on the 4 bars flash and you use the station presets to set the code number which i have. my problem is what do press to set the code. the manual that came with the car doesnt have the instructions for the rds5000 and im on my 7th attempt, 3 more goes and it will lock for good. please help, i cant stand the silence and im hearing all her squeaks and rattles.

You need to contact ford, just go down to a local dealer they should be able to tell you.

Press preset [ 1 ] repeatedly for the first digit
Press preset [ 2 ] repeatedly for the second digit
Press preset [ 3 ] repeatedly for the third digit
Press preset [ 4 ] repeatedly for the third digit

To save the code press the [ 5 ] key to accept. The set should now operate.
