Perfectly suitable. Would be worth checking the delivery pressure and setting it to the requirements of the carb though.

Usually by using a t piece into the outlet pipe to the carb - you may best to find someone to borrow one from as it is pretty much something you only do once. Find somehwere that tunes cars properly (rolling road etc).

Ive got one of those fitted its also a pressure regulator as well as a filter.

The nut on the top is removed and underneath is a screw which you can turn one way or the other to vary the pressure.

If you are going to stick with the standard mechanical fuel pump then you must put this after the fuel pump so it can regulate the pressure to the carb which can be a little irratic from the fuel pump.

If you put it in between the tank and the pump the you will have problems as the pump is trying to suck fuel through the filter/regulator rather than push it through with the previous setup :genius:

Ok cool.
was thinking of ditching the standard mechanical pump and using an electric pump, good idea?

What would a fair price be to pay for the filter pictured, it has had a small amount of use.

Cheers
James

Well new they are around the £26 mark so for used I would say £15 tops.
