Hi All,

I started the project about a year ago (after visiting a motorshow in Gent Belgium), and i'm at the point of finishing it off. Still some electrical things to do and some sorting out for the gearshifts.
I will post some pics here of the project, they are not in the right order, but still nice to share (as i enjoy all your pics very much)!

Specs of the car:

* 1984 mini shell, fully restored (the shell has been in acid tubs till bare metal, did all the welding etc and was painted in ground paint)
We first mounted the front and back subframe, drilled all the holes neccesary, got it all out and painted it (gunmetal grey), so all the drilled holes were in paint.

* zeemax bodykit, fitted fixed to the shell

* flipfront, reinforced with a rvs frame and (one of a kind) flip mechanism

* suzuki '05 gsx r 1000 engine (only 1500 miles)

* lsd

* 13" ultralights

* trickshifter

* etb digidash

* kirkey racing seats

* electric reverse

* zcars front subframe

* wilwood brakes (flex hoses throughout the car)

Etc etc.

Here are some old pics of the build, soon recent ones will follow:

The car is in the last stage of the build, but electrics is taking a lot of time right now :lol:
What a pain in the *ss, but we'll get there. There are about 4 looms right now:

-miniloom
-modified bikeloom
-trickshifter
-etb digidash

Drama :P

I'll be on my home pc on friday and will update some new pics immediately.

I'll keep you updated.

@ craigyboy:

The car will hopefully be finished by the end of the summer, august or september. The plan is to go to the UK (the factory) in oktober for final adjustment.

@ jordie:

The car is to be roadlegal, my e30 is for racing fun :thumbsup:

Hey all,

Good to be back again after busy days. This update contains pics of the brakesystem, flexhose front to back. The coolingsystem. Some electronics and some random
pics of the build.

I hope some of you can help me with a couple of questions:

1) i almost forgot about the speedo, i know the pickup point is the (in my case) left front wheel. If someone can send me a pic of the sensor fitted, that would be great, and how to wire it up to the digidash?

2) Does it matter how to fit the oilpipes to the cooler, considering the flow of oil?

3) Do i need gaskets for the exhaust manifold? (i've got them, but it seems a little bit strange to fit them) suzuki gsx r 1000.

That's it for now, thnx in advance.

Hi Pim,

Awesome looking car you've got there. I don't have any answers to your technical questions, I just have questions for you. :thumbsup:

I'm a fellow Dutchman looking to maybe build my own bike engined zcars mini and I'm doing some research now into all the aspects. What have you learned about getting the RDW to allow it on the road and the APK and what about insurance?

Cheers,

Costyn.

Hi Pim, that car is coming together nicely.

Why is the loom being difficult (as you stated in Renessies topic)? I have done my own loom from scratch for the hayabusa and it can be done.

The easiest part is hooking up the bike loom to the mini loom. Chris provided me with a modified bike loom, this is just finding the right wire to hook it up to. But the rest is just one big ???? for me. I'm getting some help right now to get it all to work. I'm just a technical guy, and a little scared when connected the wrong way i'll blow up the ecu or what so ever.

It's running and i'm proud :D just want to share the first start-up of my little gixxer mini.

Will upload new pics soon.
