Long time no post!. bin abit busy sourcing parts and stuff for the mini to be honest at the mo and stuff so not really had chance to relax on the computer much. so here goes.... finnally got my calipers from minisport after nearly 3 weeks of waiting for them to be annodised and assembled. got those today with my new 7.5 discs and pads and what not.look S*** hot tho very nice. just a couple of pics of some plates i made for the subframe support, took me the bst part of a day making templates and copying the other side then i went to mitp and there it was on somerfords stand for only £26 GUTTED.lol nevermind. Im defo looking into doing my own rear brake conversion aswell now after takin to SLYRMINI's dad at santa pod and gave me a fantastic idea so cheers for that. if it works ill make you a set dude.lol
Also we moved the mini round the back of my house with the help from a few friends in NOTTS ABOUT MINIS.

Hey everyone. Just thought id put up a quick post really sayin how its goin...... Slow would be the word id use to be honest.... Can't do alot to the shell as ma dads kinda using it now for abit so all i can do is buy parts and do some sum assembly on the engine and gearbox. Can't build up the engine to much as most of the components are goin to M.E.D next week for balancing so.... Subframes and rollcage are out at the powdercoaters and knowing jonh they will come back perfect as always with those lot. Still waiting on the head from Simon at Morspeed tho.. bin about 2-3 months now..lol Good job i dont need it just yet ay.

Robs bin away with work at the minute alot too so its just down to me tryin to keep the ball rolling on all the parts incoming.... feels like im a project manager more than a engineer.lol

Got Bored tonight so i painted my engine instead of sitting on my A*** watching telly. turned out really nicely and dispite what people say you often get a better finish with normal aerosols from halfords that VHT paint. ive always used normal paint on engines and it lasts well enuff for me and did on george anyways. enjoy

Hey not posted for awhile. Things are goin slow at the minute with us trying to do my dads van while he does his bike to get him to work. were putting panels on the my dads van for him but we cnt have the van until hes done with it getting to work, and his bike isnt working so we cant do the van..... or the mini..
But hey ho all's well. we got a few new things. Got the crank back from M.E.D today. Had it balanced and X drilled.
Also got a Kent 276 from Stanford hall at the weekend.. was a really good show just hope it goes on next year.
Got an MPI alternator bracket for the block aswell so we can mock up some system for raising the alternator out the way of the front mounted rad and oil cooler. also got the subframes back from powdercoat yesterday... they look fantastic.

Some nice engine porn there

Can I ask what made you go for 7.5' discs and calipers and not the 7.9's?

dunno really just thought it would be easier.. and me not knowing that much about them with 10" wheels they told me that the 7.9's vented (which was what i wanted) wldnt go under so i just got the 7.5's plus they were on offer..lol

Hey all. Placed the order awhile ago for the frontend. Were having a 2 piece carbon front end with a mk1 bonnet. We also ordered today a set of fibreglass doors. We saw a set at stanford hall but the price wasnt right... the weight was tho so we ordered some. They said it will be about 2 weeks wait tho because of the type of order we have. Nevermind plenty to do for now.
