I have a Tamiya M-03L chassis, which has a BMW MINI shell. I'm looking to fit a classic Mini shell, but the M-03L is the long wheel base version. I'd rather avoid buying a whole new chassis, the M-03. Now I know the only difference is an extension block, which I've removed, but where do you mount the throttle circuit board? If someone has a good photo of the M-03 chassis, that would be much appreciated.

That does help a little, but I still can't see where the throttle circuit board goes. I'll take a photo of mine at some point.

Righty..

Indeed I've built one of these with an MSC (mechanical speed controller) in the shop i used to work in..

If my memory is working today.. the servo to control the msc, sits inside the rear of the chassis on some mounts, with the msc mounted ontop..
Don't hold me to it though.. currently using my geekyness of the tamiya forum to find out for you :shy:

available new on this page, third item down.

if you use one of these you can get rid of the second servo and you will get a bit more battery life and overcome the chance of the old unit overheating at slow speeds :D (i think :) )

Tamiya 45029L FORWARD, BRAKE & REVERSE, For Tamiya Silver & Black Motors

Tamiya FET Speed Controller TEU-101BK. The TEU-101BK is an easy to use ESC that boasts all the functions of the high performance TEU-302BK with power output equivalent to the CPR-01. Notional 23x1 Turn Motor Limit, realistically only suitable for the Sport Tune / GT Tune motors. With size and shape virtually the same as a mechanical speedo, the TEU-101BK can be fitted in all single motor Tamiya RC cars from the past 15 to 20 years! Ideal for the standard motor and the Tamiya sport tuned motors. UK Code 90494.
Very easy to set up and use. The TEU101BK benefits from a quick-action full power reverse (pull the stick back twice to enter reverse, regardless of whether the car has stopped going forward) and a "transmitter off" alarm. Reverse may be disabled for racing purposes. This item is UK version, supplied bagged rather than boxed. RRP £27.50.

£19.99

If yours is the same as my old Pug 205 chassis, theres an extra section by where the switch is in Anoraks picture. Removing that bit will make it short enough. However your suspension arms (and possibly shocks) are likely to be longer.

Nope there the same mate. 50mm shocks same as many Tamiya touring cars.
