Ok. After driving to sidcup to see my Girl. We spent an amazing time at this park, went for a walk etc.

Anyway, I drove her home, and set off myself. Got onto the M2 and CRACK!
Car infront must of flicked up a stone or somthing and its totally abliverated my windshield...
NOT only has it cracked it. but the cracks spread from the VERY top of the glass, to the VERY bottom of the glass. How S**T is that! :(

My question is. How much is it going to cost to repair. How soon will a new glass be fitted, and Will it affect my no claims if I claim for it?

Nasty.

This is what I would do. Go to the scrappy cost about a tenner. Get a new rubber and again about a tenner and do it your self.

It depends on your insurance company if its going to affect it or not. But its usually about 50 beer tokens to do. It doesn't usually affect your no claims but you have to check with them first.

Ok, I rang Autoglass today. They are comming out to fit it tomorrow at 10am.

Its going to cost me £55 + VAT. So thats about £65. Which isnt too bad to say its brand new glass, Getting fitted professionally.

thats not too bad if you include the labour.

I believe Minispares do a laminated one for abour £35 inc vat.

But you would have to fit it yourself, which is very easy with the right tool, but a bugger without it!

Might as well let AW do it for you, saves muchos time!

No, its an easy job, but if you don't have an hour to spare then its not good! I've done three or four now, can do em in about 15-20 mins, assuming everything goes well! :(

I don't know whether AW's work is guaranteed, but its worth having it done by them if it is.

Any of the Kent crowd got a fillet tool, as i cant find one. Motor factors and halfords dont stock them, and old blue is leaking like an old woman being tickled.
