I currently have a problem as my battery keeps getting drained somehow, so i am trying to figure out why it is doing it. My 1st thought was to check the earth points on the car. I have photos of the ones I have checked but came across a major problem as there seems to be a black wire conneting to nothing on the left hand side of my engine bay. The lead is shown in 2 left most photos. Please can someone confirm I have identified the earth points correctly and also where the hell the black wire belongs? Thanks for your time

I dont know what that wire is for but im going to assume that it is a ground.

The Engine Control Module (the big black thing left of the air filter)may not be shutting off properly. The relay module is responsible for supplying power to the ecu, fuel pump, starter, heating element of the lambda sensor.

Next time you park it overnight, go and disconnect the two connectors going to the module and see if your battery stays charged.

Cheers 4 that I will give it a go. The wire I have found is already attached to a ground on the earth header but i have no idea what the other end is supposed to attach to

Unplugged the ECU but there is still 0.2 Amps being drawn from the battery
