I am looking to rebuild my engine soon, as well as the rest of the car, and fit a supercharger. I have seen the kits from Minispeed and Scart but I was wondering who on the market provides the best kits?

Rearrange these words

of worms can

Sorry that wasnt very helpful was it? ;D

Which ever option you go for the prefered method of lowering the compression is to open up the head chambers a little. Most, if not all, of these kits come with the decompression plate to lower the compression ratio which is generally accepted as a kind of bodge.?

i know of 3 people who have used the VmaxScart kit and all of them rave about it! Stuart Gurr is a quality engineer and has always been there for them if they needed assistance!

If i could afford one, i'd be going for the Jonspeed kit.. People seem quick to moan about them but i have always found them extremely helpful weather enquiring on the phone, tinterweb or face to face at shows. There kit is very similar to the Vmax from what i can see, but less expensive.

Totally agree with Jonsey. Ive got the weber kit and have had no problems at all with the system. Must stress that the engine will need to be bomb proof for piece of mind. The only prblem ive had is with the weber itself leaking fuel. Great!!

And as for Stuart. I do agree that sometimes he is hard to get hold off but has always been very helpful. So go with who YOU think is best but obvioulsy i would always recomend Vmax!!

I am running a Jonspeed kit and its been spot on. Mines pushing out over 125 horses with no problems at all, well other than breaking the choke cable! The guys are very helpful over there and the labour rates are very cheap indeed!

MiniSpeed's kit is the best "flowing" kit available.

You've also only got one belt too, it completely does away with the V belt.

I've got one.

Me and my mate have been looking at the kits available. most seem very similar with the only difference being where the carb is mounted.

Some have it close to the sc itself and some hae it mounted on the end of the inlet manifold pipe. In oneo f the mags this month theres a rolling road club session and the tester seems to suggest the closer the carb can be to the SC the better.

I havent dealt with Vmax but have ahd stuff from Johnspeed and Andy there is very helpful. Im sure there engineering skills are spot on but the finish of the engine kits on display at MITP could have looked a bit more proffessional especially for promo/display purposes

my 2p's worth LOL
