Have just been quoted a pounds short of £3000 to replace both A-panels, both wings, bit under the grill and scuttle panel, and get all of that , plus a bonnet I already have, sprayed up for my 2000 reg mini.
Basically, forward of the driver is all rusty and needs replacing. Is this stupid money or about right for a refit/respray?

Am based in South East London.

Thank you.

I thought £3000 was a bit over priced :/

Does any one know of any good places in South London/Surrey that could do the job ?

Massively over priced! I paid less than that for a full respray with the front end, floor pans and doorskins being replaced!

Sounds like they don't really want the work so have over priced it!

did they see the car? have they listed the work they would be doing?
Ring your insurance they maybe able to put you on to a bodyshop they know in your area.
if you dont mind travelling look at Tunbridge wells there is a coach works up on the mount that used to be SShot. (not PK motors)

They did see it and the fella gave me a complete price break down.

The scuttle panel is completely rotten and needs complete replacement... but I think I mentioned that in my earlier post. There seems to be rust in the normal places, under the lights, a-panels, bonnet. They didn't mention anything out the ordinary, just basically a front refit.

To be honest I am thinking of a carbon fibre flip front to cut down on cost on the long run.

I don't mind travelling to Tonbridge Wells ... if I can get it sorted for less, I'd travel almost anywhere :shifty: !!!
