[1275 SPRITE]

Finally got the new engine run in and set up on the rolling road.

It took a long time to find a suitable needle to suit the car, so a needle needed to be modified to make it richer top end. He modified a BBW needle to suit. The spec of the engine is :

Morspeed 1293 Engine
Balanced internals
Kent 276 cam
Morspeed stage 4 head with 36inlets/31 exhausts
Double valve springs
Morspeed rebuilt gearbox with centre oil pickup
Duplex timing gears
Alloy inlet manifold
HIF44 carb with modified BBW needle
Custom ram pipe (no air filter)
LCB manifold
Play Mini single box system
I think that is everything but i may of forgotten some things.

The end results were 88.8 hp at the flywheel and 82.2 lbft of torque at the flywheel. Really happy with the figures!!

sounds about right for a 1293 and I bet she runs as sweet as candy..........................

Yeah runs really well now. A bit of a flat spot at the bottom but expected this with the cam

He did me a good deal because i work where he used to work and he knows a few of the people there, so he did it all for £250

Good deal I say, o yer James, that guy came up to look at spraying my mini and he said it all for £500 so not bad and he can start ASAP.
