Well, it's that time of year - the fateful MOT day!
I've spent today getting the bits that need doing to pass - replacing the wipers, patching up the hole of the exhaust where the y-piece meets the main pipe, and getting a new fuel sender unit fitted.
I'm a bit worried as he's been laid-up since Dec. 07 due to being sent away and all that - and when I reversed out of the garage, I scraped the tyre against the floor so I hope the brakes haven't seized up at the back!
So come 08.30, if you could all send good thoughts Paddy's way, we'd all really appreciate it!
*gulp!*

YAY!!
Right, even though it's got to go for a re-test tomorrow, I should have a fully MOT'd Mini tomorrow! Huzzah!
It failed on some really minor things - headlights (one too high, one too low!), rear rt. light cluster works only when 'tapped', rear brake quadrants partially seized, steering rack gaiters torn. Also, the front left ball joint hadn't been torque'd up enough when it was fitted and caused the wheel to be a bit wobbly! Oh, and although it didn't fail the MOT, I need a new radiator fan as the motor is blowing the fuse up. So now that I'm minus quite a bit of cash, Paddy is perfectly good to drive!
Quick question though - how do I get road tax sorted if a car's been SORN'd?

Ah, my appologies, just reading my last car tax reminder.....
To tax you vehicle when it is SORN:
www.direct.gov.uk/taxdisc
0870850444
take your V5C and form V10 (application for tax disc) and relevant documents to a post office branch that issues a tax disc
No idea what a V62 is
by the way the letter reads, just go to the post office with your insurance certficate, V5 and MOT and they should do it all for you
