Rear Subframe Removal

hi
i need to change a rear subby, and was wondering how easy is it???
what needs doing?? how do i go about doing it???

i found it fairly easy really, theres a few things at the front of it to remember to disconnect (handbrake, brake, petrol and i think the +ve wire runs in the way) these are easy to remove.

A novice could do it in under an hour i would say.

It helps to have 2 jacks although can easily be done with one.

basic principles to be followed then, i would soak the main nuts/bolts with some wd40 the night before, the last thing you want is them snapping, i think it would be beneficial to take the tank out aswel (not sure if you have to as mien was already out). After that its basically the two shock nuts, then theres two long bolts per side (4 total) and some bolt nut combos 2 per side near the back (4 total) so basically 8 harder bolts that hold it on! I suggest jack the car up and put on axel stands, then use the jack to lower the subby out of the car as you go, then just slide out the bottom :P I put the wheels back on mien when it was out so i could easily wheel it around.
