The doors on my 92 City seem to be a weird shape, and they're letting water in from the seals which are supposed to be touching the windows. It seems the 2 halves of the doors are bowed and the seal makes about a 1.5cm gap with the window, so every time it rains loads of water gets into the door. Do the doors need taking off and bending inwards, or can I just waxoil the inside of the door so it doesn't matter if water gets in to it?

are you talking about the door rubber seals? I wound down the window; braced the lower half with my knee and bent it in till it fitted better. No more leaks for me. No need to take the door off.

There should be a plastic cover behind the door card to stop water entering cabin also. some water does get inside the door but exits through drain holes if they are not blocked!!

Sounds like he is talking about the weather seals that run at the base of the window.

I have the same problem with some cooper '98 door ive just had fitted, the outer skin bows outward slightly, i just dont know how im going to pull it back in without damaging it!

Ok well thanks for the advice. Might try that tomorrow, but not quite sure what seals you're talking about? Is it the rubebr seal which goes all the way round the door frame or the rubber strip which is supposed to stop water getting in through the gap between the door and the window?
Oh yeah sorry didnt see your post James. Well thats what mines doing anyway!
