Right, I have an aftermarket steering wheel that I got back in my 106 days.. but was never allowed to fit it as my dad didnt like the idea of me getting rid of the airbag.
But now no air bag so no excuse

Want to try and fit it now to the mini, the boss kit i got with it was for a 106 but will it still work on the mini? I had a go at taking my current steering wheel off, manging to get the wheel off but when i got to the big bolt in the middle i couldnt get it off, probably wasnt using the right tool knowing me.

Anyone able to give a abit of an idiots guide here? If it helps my steering wheel is the same one that the Grey Clubman Zeemax in Augusts Mini world has...

To take the steering wheel off it is just that big nut in the middle! Sometimes they get stuck so often need some 'encouragement' to get them off, generally i use a pulley thing, but you should leave the nut screwed onto the thread a little bit as they are known to come off suddenly and result in you hitting yourself in the face

As for the 106 wheel, not a clue im afraid

I probably did it the wrong way by undoing the small srews around the centre of the wheel which let that come off...

well if you have done that, do the same to the 106 steering wheel and bolt it to the boss that you left attached
