Hi All

OK Working on both my mini's

I need to know the Torque settings for the cylinder head bolts of a 998

I also need the Plug settings for a 1275

Help much appreciated

The torque wrench settings for the Cylinder Head Nuts is 50lbf ft/68Nm

or 40lbf and 54NM for emission control engines.

I think the plug gap is 0.85mm (0.035in) for a 1275?

The latest Mini handbook (1969-2001) is slightly different though: -

Torque Wrench Settings/Cylinder head nuts: -

Stage 1 .......... 34Nm .......... 25lbf ft

Stage 2 .......... 68Nm .......... 50lbf ft
