Hey.

Going on Holiday next week to Lowestoft, and I am taking my fishing gear in case we happen apon a fishing lake...

But I was wondering, are there any lakes nearby? and a decent tackle shop?

I know its right by the sea, but I don't want to go sea fishing, I am a lake person really..

Anyone help?

Cheers

You mean apart from the entire Norfolk Broads? There's miles of lakes. Herringfleet is a good one if I remember correctly.
There's also Southwold not far away. And a few rivers round about there.

And one of the least impressive theme parks - Pleasurewood Hills.

Yeh I was informed about Pleasure wood... think I'd rather go fishing.

I am not too up on area in Norfolk.. so is it a case of drive up a road and heyho a fishing lake? or is it best to track down a decent tackle shop and ask in there?

Southwold seems to be a popular area, although i cant comment on what the fishing is like as i find it uber dull :yinyang: .
