Why are you asking, it has no bearing on how much you'd pay?

Alexcrosse has one and he's 19 i think, not aware of any younger.

if you can get a classic policy you should be able to get the price down, but there might be a lower age limit. my V8 mini was as low as £118 the other year on a classic policy for 3000 miles. cheaper than my clubby estate was.

just a note of caution on this one be sure to declare everything to the insurance company as they WILL examine your car if you crash or its burnt out
we use footman james and adrian flux for the Z Cars minis we have had several claims all settled very happily over the years go to the Z Cars section and look at the thread in general chat i put on the other day under a cautionary tale
you may save £100 if you dont declare what exactly you have got but you have more to lose if it goes wrong
ive found the insurance companies ok about it as long as they know whats going on
agreed value is a must as well
we get this question often and i can produce evidence of historical value of Z Cars sales of second hand cars and costs of the kits to back up the values claimed
un recognised home built cars are a bit more difficult to value as the quality varies immensly from car to car

I found that performance direct were fully aware of pro-motive conversions, and Z cars conversions - a quick round up of other modifications over the phone and submission of a few digital photos via CD seemed to keep them very happy and the quote was way less than I was expecting.

people were talking about this last week:
http://www.theminifo...mp;hl=insurance

you'd need to call around/do a pass plus/ try do mostly cosmetic mods/ etc. (seemed to be the outcome)
a 17 year old can insure anything! it's just how much money it'll cost you that's the problem. :P
the other thing is to run around in a standard 998 for a year or two, don't crash it, and get your no claims up.
