Fitting A Diesel 1.4 Metro Engine In A Mini?

how easy would this be? i've found an engine, my clubman's got a 1275 metro engine in it at the mo, how easy would the swap be? what else other than the engine would be needed? its a full car i've found so could take bits off it

Questions similar to this are being asked all the time...

Short answer is not very easily. Amongst other things you would need to sort out:

A subframe (can't use the standard Metro or Mini frame so you'd need to modify)
Driveshafts (same applies)
Cooling system (same applies)
Gear linkage
Fuel delivery system
Wiring etc

Its certainly not a weekends work, you'd need to put a lot of time and effort into planning and preparation but if you have the time and the willingness to get stuck in then I'm sure it can be done.
