hello,

as you guys may now from my previous post of my layshaft i now got my main shaft out and would like a check from you guys on the condition.
the thing you see on the end are little grooves but very minimal must say and some kind of mark from extreme heat.

Seen worse... but that'll clean up....

Quite simply as long as your not using silly amounts of torque then the mainshafts are pretty resilient...

It's the other end you really want to look at, the bearing surface should be clean and no signs of pitting/wear.

thank yo uguessworks the other little end of the shaft looks quit good i must say.

how do you clean it ? and how do i get the 2 other gears of ?
