Treat paint chips and scratches with a Rover paint touch up pencil. If the damage has revealed bare metal, use a coloured primer first, then apply the base coat and finish off with a lacquer pencil if approprate. Carry out this trament after washing but before polishing or waxing.
Does anyone know where you get a
(1) Rover paint touch up pencil
(2) Coloured Primer
(3) Base coat
(4) lacquer pencil
in British Racing Green?
I've got a couple of small stone chips that I need to repair... the whole car was resprayed a couple of years ago, so still a nice shiny finish.

I would personally go and have a chat with your local auto paint mixing place. The ones halfords do never ever come anywhere near the colour better to get it matched to how the paint looks now;)
Most good paint factors can do base coat, lacquer, dont know about coloured primer though but they should know whats needed so talk to them

Rarther than use a crude touch up pen you are probably better painting into the chip using an artists brush primer first then base, then lacquer until its just proud of the surface then let it go hard for about a week before sanding the area with 1500 grade wet n dry or greater then use a cutting compound to take away the sanding marks and buff back the shine
