Does anyone have a list of all the nuts bolts and screws needed to put the engine, gearbox, wok, etc with ancilleries back together? I have just refurbished the whole engine and gearbox and the old screws etc now look grubby (and I'm sure some are missing!).

I know there used to be a list on minifinity, but I think it has gone missing since their server crashed.

Any help gratefully received.

Yes, all the Mini specialists do. They're called parts manuals. The list would be different for almost every different engine number, what would be the point in typing all that up when there are manuals already available?

Yeah i know what codd means though would be awesome if you could just buy like a job lot that included all the nuts and bolts needed even if you did have to pay a bit more cause it included some that you didnt need.

Until then start writing down those part numbers! ;)

just out of interest on this thread are the threads on the A+ the same that hold the box to the block throughout the castings or do they differ in anyway? if so does anyone know they sizes they used? just threads not bolt lengths?

The gearbox to block bolts, screws and studs are always 1/4 UNF. A popular race upgrade has always been to uprate them to 5/16 unf so if you have an odd size that may be the cause. Oh and one of them is a nut and bolt through a hollow dowel.

I'll check that and FAQ it if you like but I can already see a fair few things missing and a lot that depends on the age of the engine just from a brief look. There's no mention of the transfer gear case at all and the fixings in that are quite specialised after a certain year.
