IMO go for something retro, a solid colour stick to mini (ish) colour scheme..

What 'look' do you hope to achieve?

track car? full retro? or a mix?

its got a black roof already, so why not go for red and black? black arches, make the interior match the outsude theme, maybe leather seats with red piping, black door cards with the red stripe (get these at a reasonable price on ebay) maybe even a red and black dash?

Cheaper than a respray! also keep the bumpers, they do come in handy(ish) when other idiots decide to reverse gently into your car, saves paying a lump out for a new bootlid or to get it referbed, when u can get a bumper for 20 quid!

but I do like the two- tone idea
