After a year of restoration, becks mini finally passed the MOT and she was able to drive it yesterday for the very first time on the road.

She was happily bombing along all day long.

Ten oclock....phone call....Mum......help.

Car was'smoking' and "i think its gonna blow up".

Whipped down to where she had broken down armed with oil and water.

Get there.

Hmm red light on dash.

"oh look theres a mini driving past"

Mini turns round, Timmy, Pembrokeshire mini club to the rescue!

Timmy "fan belt"
Becky "oh"
Timmy "want one?"
Becky "yep"
Timmy "got one"

Carried spare one in boot and within 10 mins fan belt changed and one happy becky!
As luck would have it there was a |Pembrokeshire Mini club meeting and a whole convoy of minis soon passed.

Just to say that Minis are great and so is the way that its classed as a little family!

She wouldnt have had that service if she wuda had the corsa she wanted !

aw thats a briliant story something happened similar to this when me and bondbill were out drivin we broke down (well ran out of petrol as his gage didnt work) and a lovely dude pulled over in his automatic mini, with his family all inside the mini also and he took him got petrol came back and off we toddled, other minis also pulled up asking if we were ok.

Am new to the site and am not the owner of the mini, my partner and I bought her for my daughters birthday last year, so I dont know nick as I have only been on here to ask for advice but Becky (elsies owner) is really pleased!

at first she wanted a corsa or soemthing like that like all her friends but she is now the envy of all of them, especially now elsie is ready and a real head turner.

Check out this topic by the way, i posted it only a few days ago, weird really because it's pretty much the same as this saying how great mini folk are, must be pembrokeshire mini folk especially eh haha
