This would do my head in..

just knock on a few doors until you find the ignorant  then just get him to jog on ..

no point in trying to move it because you will either get done if you cause any damage or he will end up being 10ft tall and built like he-man.. that can only end badly.

We live door but one to a shop, we always get it. just sit it out but leave a note on there car. It's what I do. Isn't very rebellious like most the answers in here, but usually the people (providing there normal people, not arrogant twits) just knock on the door and apologies.

Several pointers for you: There is no general right for any motor vehicle to park on a public highway. A highway is for the purposes of passing and repassing, not parking on. There are exceptions for emergency services, road repairs & similar & when a local authority designates it as a parking place & or creates resident partking schemes. but then they do it after consultation and from what you say there is no way they would do that when actual obstructions are caused. Paying your 'vehicle tax' does not give any rights to park outside your own property. Every parked vehicle is therefore automatically causing an obstruction and when a nuisance is caused such as you describe it is an actual obstruction. You appear to have a cast iron case against her. I would advise you against excessively sounding your car horn as it will wrong foot you as far as the authorities are concerned and is likely to be illegal and also loose you sympathy from your other neighbours. Take photos, measure the road width, collect your evidence. Ask the police and if they will not take action, initially a word in her ear from them should be sufficient, ask to see the dutry officer at your station politely but firmly explaining that if they will not take action you will make a formal complaint. That should sort it. If it still doesn't work write her a polite but firm letter, keep copies, send it recorded and warn her you will apply for a summons yourself at the Magistrates Court. Take your evidence to the Court and they will tell you how to swear out the information and that will result in the summons being sent to her. If the facts are as you state you can not loose. You can represent yourself and when you give your evidence you can appear concillatory by explaining your actions are a last resort and that even at this late stage if she will agree not to cause further obstructions you would be content for the court to bind her over rather than impose a fine.
Edit: Your own edit about her having her own drive way has considerably strengthened your case and demonstrates she is being awkward, it will damm her even further at court.

Taken from another wedsite.

I have decided to go for a more adult approach and leave a note explaining all the things I had considered doing to the van like boxing in, keying, bananas up the tail pipe, sh*t on the handles etc and explaining how I am too considerate to do that which is more than I can say for them for parking their van their and they should count their blessings.

Some of these replies have made me laugh! Seriously tho, that van driver is out of order. I dont know what some people think when leaving their car....I got blocked in at work the other day, some woman had decided to park so close to another car (bonnet facing bonnet) that 20 cars were blocked in. We called the parking man who got her to come outside and she strolled out like she had done nothing wrong?! Some people clearly were only born with half a brain.

Let us know when the van moves and what happens.

I have just placed the following on the the windscreen and am waiting for some 10ft bloke to come knock on the door:

Due to the inconsiderate way you have parked your van I am unable to park on my drive or get my 3 children out safely and have had to park across the road.

I had considered a number of measures in retaliation to your inconsiderate behaviour i.e. boxing you in, potatoes up the tail pipe, letting your tyres down or even something more drastic and unpleasant but then settled on this note as I am not that nasty and would hope you can count your blessings for that and park with a little more thought in future.
