Hi karl, sorry i couldn't answer this sooner.

Yes you can lacquer over it, Rustoleum do they're own lacquer which is guarunteed to go on nicely and not react..

However,.. I have recently part resprayed over a roller job using 'synthetic' paint from the local paint guy. It went on absolutely fine,.. i wonder if you can get a synthetic lacquer? rather than hunting down some rustoleum lacquer.

Well i need to order the paint for the project, but didn't know weather or not you could lacquer over it.

And i also plan on re-spraying the 25, thanks mostly to some low life that keeps vandalising it, and maybe make it a bit glossier this time round.

As it doesn't look too bad when it's first sprayed, but quickly dulls, don't know if being metallic has anything to do with it?
