bit off topic here but can you get personal plates in the old style like letter at the end?

If you were to get one, spend a bit more to one which shows your name and andstands out.
but as said get you car done first! looks better than a plate!

you wont find this as it is a banned number plate....

and the reason B19 FAG is so expensive is because the BI9 spells BIG the 9 being a lower case g so it would read

BIG FAG

why not get one that is relevent to you.??

You car has to be currently taxed to transfer a number plate on to it! Which would be a bit difficult at the age of 14

So your 14 and you think you'd get beaten up for having a 'fag' number plate? Were do you live the 1980? Do yourself a favor for future life and open your young mind to the possibility that being gay or a 'fag' isn't somthing to get beaten up about. Sorry for sounding harsh but your our future......

Isn't there something about the age of the car and the reg plate that carn't exceed one or the other?

Well I guess you have a point there. Only thing is I dont know how happy my parents would be with me buying a numberplate like that... I personally don't think it's something to get beaten up about, in fact I see it as a good thing, but some people seem to think otherwise, and the last thing I'd want to happen is Floyd getting vandalised by some homophobic scumbags who happen to take my numberplate too seriously!! It would be fun to have a numberplate like that though... especially at shows :(

The car's taxed, and my dad takes it for a good drive with me every week or so to stop it getting too cobwebby.

And the age thing I know about, you can't put a numberplate showing a later year than the car eg. you couldn't put J14 HOE on a car registered in 1990. Which is also why all but 1 of my possible numberplates are prefix J, as Floyd is a J reg car.

So it's between J14 HOE, B19 FAG, a stage 1 kit, and a new interior now I guess? Theres still one or two others in my list Id consider getting as well...

Personalised plates are something that just seem less important as you get older. Like new cars. Well for me anyway.

My wife has one which spells her name; we bought it with a brand new car in 1992 so it wasn't expensive. Around that time I had an Irish plate on a 4x4 too.

Now they're no longer important to me, and what's worse too is the number of classic cars which get broken just for the numberplate. Not long ago I had a 1961 Austin A40 with a 642LVO plate - I had a few calls offering me money just for that. Not happening.
