Weetabix packet. Make your own. I made one for my waterpump a few weeks ago out of a tissue box - works fine.

Itscomealongway, just in case you think the previous two posts were joking... they are not.

Make your own gasket either out of thin cardboard coated with gasket sealant OR go to the parts store and ask them for a roll or packet of gasket paper. Regardless of the material, cut your own gasket.

Minispares sell them separately - the postage will be more than the gasket.

I need exactly the same gasket and was planning to go to Halfrauds on Saturday and get some gasket paper - will they have this or is it a more specialist thing nowadays?

Can cardboard be used for all gaskets?

I've used it on the water pump, thermostat casing, heater outlet and fuel pump in the past.

And on various other bits on other cars

Has anyone been stupid enough to make a cardboard head gasket?
