Heya,


I'm Alex, I'm 19 from England and i Drive a mini =D

sorry i'm still chuffed to bits i managed to get hold of one for my first car,
i told my mum i weren't interested in a car unless it was a mini or a VW camper lol
i figured i'd never get insurance for a VW so the search was on for a mini
i really didn't care for what mini hover I'd quite like the look of the Marry Quant mini
aka the designer.
i just thought the interior looked mint for that period car, [no flowers didn't do it for me]
the black and whites seats with the red trim did, and i also liked the idea of the white mini with the blacke roof and stripes.

anyways after awhile of searching i had kind of lost hope of ever owning a mini on my budget,
due to the fact i'm a landscape gardener and had just recently started my apprenticeships
and was on a low wage.

however just when i had almost lost all hope my mum mentioned her friend Jane who's had this mini
that she loves and has had since 1990 anyways my mum rang her and we arranged to talk,
she was quite reluctant to sell but after a cuppa and some banta [i think i won her over when i told her i'd
only consider a mini or a vw camper as my first car because she also wants one of each]
so anyways she said she would thinking about selling it to me because she could see how much i loved it.

the next morning i woke up to my mum telling me janes on the hone alex wake up,
i don't think i've ever been more excited to wake up so i leap out of bed and ran down stairs and when she
said i'd be happy to let you have the mini alex well you can imagine the grin i had on my face lol

right i'll cut to the chase i've got to go out now but i managed to pick up my 998cc rover mini mayfair for
500 quid witch is pretty dam good,

sorry for writting so much just
my mini Juliette means ther world to me.

anyways i'll be posting a new topic soon need some help due to the fact i doing some work on my car please
please give it a read and give me some advise if you can.

cheers dude,
just found out my baby's head gasket might be on its way out =[
gotta drive her to work tomorrow so gonna take it steady and make sure she's topped up with water.
and then at the weekend check the radiator flush it out several times the usal stuff check for the mayonnaisy
stuff round the cap and that.

just hope the rain holds off and that my head gasket ent the problem,
but anyways nice hearing from you chap.

and i'm kinda envious of you for getting ur hands on a mini designer and the fact you have 3 to work on lol

ah i'm glad you like the name =D
and i'll be sure to get some pics up however i'm not to sure how do that yet but i
shall let you know when i do.
if this was set up like face book or myspace i'd be fine,
however this is all taking some getting used to.

but nice meeting you anyways Juliette or do you prefer Juju?

p.s i hope it it hasn't gone either it didn't start this morning so had to get a lift into work =/
but hopefully i'l clear the garage out tomorrow and have a good look at her then but i'm hoping the weather will be nice so i can work on her out side lol
